Goth + black satin gown + church = happiness.

So it might be formulaic but what's not to love?

And besides I had midday sun to contend with, another improvised shoot and a new technique to try out.

The goth in question was the stunning Kiya Wilde, who has been on a hiatus from modelling so I can't provide a link right now but will hopefully come back to it when she gets all the pics from the set. Look her up.

The new technique I was trying was freelensing and is the cheat's answer to a lens baby (can be a very pricey bit of kit). I can say for sure I should have tried out different lenses and settings beforehand but Kiya was patient enough for me to get a few head shots in.

It was too frustrating to give it a real go as there was lots of searching to find anything in focus, also I hear it works out better with a full frame camera (not willing to risk it on my baby!) but here is a colour and black and white for anyone curious:

The rest of the set - without creative blur,

will be uploaded soon.
