Poppy Augarde

Aeons ago, just after the dinosaurs died out, I picked up a bridge camera and Poppy had started to model for her sister Jess (a fantastic photographer and graphic designer). Luckily for me she hopped in front of my camera too and we made tons and tons of pictures we both loved.

Not much has changed. We've just refined things over the years.

This month we were lucky enough to have snow on a day that we'd set aside to shoot!

So we went for a fairytale Ice-Queen vibe.

Favourite colour: Christ, don’t ask me that I’m a (hair) colourist.

What type of modelling are you most interested in?

Im not sure what you would call it exactly, but I love prancing around in massive gowns and bringing together different Gothic styles. I like to bring a new character to each and every shoot I do.

What is your favourite body part?

I don’t really have a favourite. I'm pretty content with everything

Other than modelling what are your hobbies?

I mix and match in lots of different hobbies, from dancing to drawing, singing, swimming and blogging.

Name a song or film that you secretly love.

My favourite film ever is Gypsy 83 as it inspired so much to become who I am now.

Do you have a personal mantra or philosophy on life?

Live healthily, stay active, sleep lots.

In an ideal world what would be your dream shoot?

Ohhhh. I think id love to be a mermaid or some kind of golden glazed goddess.

What exciting projects have you got coming up? Now I think of it, I want to be a goddamn mermaid.

Is there anything you want to tell the world?

Look after yourself first and the rest will follow.
