Straight Outta Lockdown

Is there a better way to start shooting again than working with another creative? I think not.

I needed to get back into the swing of things and on my WLTWW (would like to work with) list was Abigail; a face and body painter, model and photographer and all round awesome human.

Wanting to get going right away I contacted Abi to see what was hanging in her closet and we went with a spring Godess kinda vibe with a cream/gold outfit change and met in the Respryn woods a few days later.

I asked for a minimal make-up look, first time photographing her so I wanted to see her pretty face. But you can see some of her make-up looks here.

Abi was more than happy to commune with nature, that is standing in ponds and rivers and talking to ferns. She loves to climb trees too but I thought it best not to try in a ballgown.

I'm glad I didn't get in the river with her, just walking around the bank I tripped and broke my shoe. I fell backwards though and the camera was just fine.

But that was the only slip-up; the weather behaved itself and I was able to get some brilliant natural light portraits. I'm so glad to be out of hibernation!
